With the rodeo and mounted shooting sports season underway this summer, contestants sponsored by Copper Spring Ranch are now on the road at events across the West.
Curt LaDuke, a steer wrestler and tie down roper from Dickinson, N.D., is currently competing in major PRCA rodeos in both Montana and around the West. LaDuke is a graduate of Chadron State and has held a PRCA card since 2004.
This week, he is entered in rodeos at Sheridan, Casper and Laramie, Wyo.; Vernal, Utah and Colorado Springs, Colo. LaDuke had good results at Greely and won the steer wrestling at the Innisfail, Alberta rodeo
Teri High, the office manager and a veteran rodeo contestant in Montana, is currently competing in NRA and āUā BRC competition throughout the state.
In barrel racing, she heads to East Helena this weekend and then to Helena for the UBRC tour before competing in rodeos in Three Forks and Townsend. She leads the Two D Division and ranks in the top 10 overall.
In Cowboy Mounted Shooting competition in the region High is heading for Miles City on July 19-20 and then Bozeman on August 21-24. In a recent Buffalo Bill Days shoot in Sheridan, she won the Amateur Super Horse category and placed second in the level one four state shoot.
The ranch, located at Bozeman, supports rodeo and the traditional ranching way of life that is an integral part of our western values.
