CSR Equine’s state-of-the-art sports medicine trailer will be present at the Montana Wild Bunch Cowboy Mounted Shooting Montana and Regional Championships on Aug. 21-24 at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman.
This mobile is fully equipped diagnostic and therapeutic center and staffed by Drs. Ellis Farstvedt, D.V.M., ACVS board certified surgeon, and Mandi Holland, D.V.M., a certified equine acupuncturist.
With the Sports Medicine Trailer, the team has established a new standard of care for equine performance horses at major shows and events in the West, with on-site high-level medical health care. During the competition, the CSR Equine veterinarians are serving as the on-site medical team. People attending the competition are welcome to stop by and receive a tour of the trailer.
The veterinarians use a 48-foot, custom designed Sundowner trailer as the physical site for their medical practice. The climate controlled facility is supported with both diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to help care for equine competitors.

The mobile sports medicine facility is operated in conjunction with the CSR Equine clinic at the Copper Spring Ranch in Bozeman. Copper Spring Ranch Equine operates a state-of-the-art medical and surgical center that is open to the public as well as being used for the ranch’s quarter horse breeding operation.
The 10,000-square-foot facility also functions as a referral hospital that serves horse owners in the West. CSR Equine offers a full range of reproductive services, surgical options with an intensive care unit, emergency medicine treatments, lameness and sports medicine therapies, advanced digital imaging technology, acupuncture and general medical care.
