Copper Spring Ranch Names Dr. Ellis Farstvedt Managing Veterinarian of CSR Equine Medical Center
(Bozeman, MT) Copper Spring Ranch announced today that Ellis Farstvedt DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS and regionally renowned board certified surgeon, has been named Managing Veterinarian of its CSR Equine Medical Center, a state-of-art medical and surgical center serving southwest Montana and the Rocky Mountain West. Located just west of Four Corners, Bozeman, CSR Equine is open to the public and combines cutting-edge technology with medical expertise in surgery, reproductive services, sports medicine, lameness, and general health and preventative care for all breeds and disciplines.
Dr. Farstvedt has served as CSR Equine’s resident surgeon since the Center opened 18 months ago. He is a pioneer in laparoscopic and arthroscopic surgical techniques, and also specializes in orthopedic surgery and lameness. He is a graduate of Oregon State University and completed a three year residency in equine surgery at Colorado State University. Since leaving C.S.U., he has served horse owners from all over the western United States.

The use of all digital technology enables the team to diagnose and apply treatment more quickly. The 10,000 square foot facility features a state-of-the-art surgery suite with induction/recovery room, intensive care unit with ICU staff, in-house laboratory with real time blood analysis, covered lameness examination area, foaling stall, and padded stalls with radiant heat flooring.
CSR Equine also partners with fellow veterinarians as a regional referral hospital throughout the West, including the Rocky Mountain States, California, Arizona and Texas.
