Dr. Rod Warren joins Veterinarian Team at CSR Equine Medical Center

Copper Spring Ranch announced recently that Rod Warren, DVM, of Bozeman, has joined its CSR Equine Medical Center, a state-of-the-art medical and surgical center serving southwest Montana and the Rocky Mountain West. In announcing the appointment, Gary Metcalf, General Manager of Copper Spring Ranch, said, “Dr. Warrenʼs addition will help us continue to meet the growing needs of Gallatin Valley and beyond.”

Dr. Rod Warren has more than 35 years experience in equine medicine, with a particular focus on reproductive/AI services having worked with some of the nationʼs most notable farms and bloodlines. He began his career in Southern California as a veterinary consultant in general health and reproductive services to some of the countryʼs leading Quarter Horse Farms, including Vessels Stallion Farm. He managed breeding programs for legendary stallions such as First Down Dash, Easy Jet and Beduino.

After 11 years in California, he moved to Lexington, KY, where he established a practice focusing on reproductive services, racing performance and sales readiness. His clients have included Keeneland, Taylor Made Farms, as well as other legendary thoroughbred farms and sales companies. For the past five years, Dr. Warren has been in private practice in Bozeman. Dr. Warren received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Kansas State University.

“Dr. Warren brings to CSR Equine Medical Center more experience in reproductive/AI services than any other veterinarian in Montana,” said Metcalf. “Additionally, his experience working with race horses in Kentucky adds to our teamʼs impressive knowledge base regarding lameness and performance.”
