Dr. Ellis G. Farstvedt, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS, heads up
CSR
Equine Sports Medicine Center. Dr Farstvedt is a regionally renowned board certified surgeon. He is not only resident surgeon at the CSR Equine Sports Medicine Center, but heads up their extraordinary team of veterinarians. He graduated from Oregon State University in 2001. American College of Veterinary Services Certified In 2005, he was awarded a master’s degree in clinical sciences from and completed a three-year residency in equine surgery at Colorado State University. His clinical interests are in orthopedic surgery, minimally invasive surgeries (i.e. arthroscopy and laparoscopy), upper respiratory surgery and lameness.
Dr. Lisa Baller, DVM, CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist), 
has special interests in lameness, sports medicine, reproductive services, acupuncture, preventative care and alternative therapies. Dr. Baller graduated from Colorado State University in 2003 and has been practicing in the Gallatin Valley ever since. She is a registered USEF (United States Equestrian Federation) veterinarian for approved rated hunter/jumper shows. She competes in hunter/jumper with her Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods.
Dr. Mandi L. Holland, DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), is a
lead vet for CSR Equine Sports Medicine Center’s mobile unit. Mandi has extensive experience in sports medicine and lameness honed by her active involvement in rodeo. Dr. Holland is licensed and skilled in equine acupuncture and wellness techniques. She is a Montana native and received her DVM from Colorado State University. Her experience includes having served as a veterinarian at Turf Paradise Race Track in Arizona.
Dr. Alan Goldhahn, DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), has extensive experience with performance and race horses in northern California. Goldhahn is continuing
with his work on equine reproduction service, lameness diagnostics and neo-natal medicine while practicing with the professional staff at CSR Equine. Goldhahn, who grew up on a cattle ranch near Geraldine, Montana, majored in pre-veterinary medicine and animal science at Montana State University in the 1970s and graduated from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He completed an internship at the well-known Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale after graduation.
Dr. Peter R. Rolfe, DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), returned to his alma mater, Oregon State University, shortly after graduation in 1999 to fill a position as a faculty member on the ambulatory service for the veterinary teaching hospital. This position allowed Dr. Rolfe to fine
tune his skills as an equine practitioner. While instructing students and serving the equine clients of the community by heading up reproductive and dental courses for 4th year veterinary students, and aiding in lameness focused electives, he realized his passion for equine veterinary medicine. Since his stint at OSU Dr. Rolfe has focused his practice in multiple states on equine advanced reproduction and sports medicine. Dr. Rolfe’s practice background has allowed him to gain valuable experience in multiple arenas, from practice owner in Arizona, to associate at Pilchuck referral veterinary hospital in Washington state. He has treated equine athletes ranging from multiple NFR qualified barrel horses (including a two-time NFR arena record holder) to numerous Grand Prix level dressage horses. Dr. Rolfe has also completed a 6 month course in equine chiropractics, a tool he uses on a daily basis in his performance equine practice, as well as obtaining many hours of advanced equine dental training. Dr Rolfe is currently pursuing his certification as an F.E.I. approved veterinarian. Dr. Rolfe will be focusing on the reproductive services for CSR Equine.
